Job Purpose The role holder is responsible for supervising all new installation, renovation, replacement, building utility supply and insurance services for outlets and administration buildings and ensuring that the installations and renovations services are carried out smoothly. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
 

Core Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation of the Building Design and Construction plans, in line with the corporate objectives.
  • Directs and manages the Projects Documentation & Handover Section mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
  • Interprets and implements change in the Projects Documentation & Handover Section providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Projects Documentation & Handover Section.
Core Responsibilities

Projects Documentation & Handover Planning

  • Plans the required budget and selects the best delivery method for all installations and renovations projects.
  • Coordinates with relevant departments under Building and Fleet Management to develop process, policies and procedures for Projects Documentation & Handover section.

Projects Documentation & Handover  Operations

  • Supervises all new installation, renovation, building utility supply and insurance services for outlets and administration buildings.
  • Ensures timely up gradation of the electromechanical equipment and renovation of buildings to increase the buildings assets values.
  • Ensures that the STC compounds have the most suitable working environment for STC employees with highest standards of quality and minimum disruptions.
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable building and safety standards while delivering the Installations and Renovations services.
Vendor Management
  • Supports in preparing specifications for new contracts, post that coordinates with BM Vendor and Contract Management Section to select the appropriate external vendor, issue work orders and change orders, provide input on contractor quality of work and finalize payments.
Process Adherence
  • Ensures all buildings requests related to new installations, replacements and renovations received and addressed within specified service delivery times.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process.
  • Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Projects Documentation & Handover Section, in line with the business and operational plans.
  • Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on – going feedback and coaching team members within the Projects Documentation & Handover Section.

Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Building Design and Construction in order to meet objectives.

Qualifications/
Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Nature

of Experience

  • Prior experience in installations and renovations services or in a constructions role in a large organization of similar size and scale

  • Sound planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Building Management code
  • Ability to read and interpret building designs
  • Resource and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant building design systems
  • Basic knowledge of the capabilities of all relevant technological applications
